PURPOSE OF JOBHERE is seeking a talented Lead Engineer to work on various projects focused on delivery of real-time traffic. In this role the ideal candidate will participate in all stages of software development including refining product vision, gathering requirements, software system design, coding, testing, release, and support. This individual will also work collaboratively with other engineering teams to ensure cross-functional goals are met. Key Responsibilities? Software design and review? Software development of application or system components ? Unit and Integration testing of developed code? Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects? Understand the technical aspects of the products used to support the configuration management activities of the development process? Decompose requirements for testability and provide feedback to the requirement gathering process? Investigate and report problems JOB SPECIFICATIONS? Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.? 10+ Years of engineering experience, including 4+ years working with Java-based commercial applications.? Demonstrated expertise developing, building and deploying Java / Java EE based applications and web services (Tomcat, Play)? Strong foundational knowledge and experience with network programming and message exchange standards and systems? Excellent team player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment under Agile software development process? Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver? Exposure to Web Services, SOAP, REST services is a plus? Exposure with Amazon Web Services and associated technologies a strong plus ? Exposure to Scala programming and Akka frameworks is a strong plus? Working knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting? Exposure to Project and Configuration Management tools (JIRA, Git/Gerrit)? Strong oral and written communication skills (English)
