Intelligent Car Within the Automotive Business, we have created an initiative called Digital Transportation Infrastructure (DTI). Digital Transportation Infrastructure (DTI) will change how cars communicate, make roads safer and ease road congestion by closing the loop between road operators and drivers. Through intelligent connectivity over existing networks we enable directed low latency safety-critical and efficiency messaging. DTI is the market?s first cost effective and efficient approach to connecting all participants in transportation on one Location Cloud platform, allowing highly localized road safety messages and extensions into the overall Automotive portfolio.We are currently seeking an energetic and creative Solution Development Manager to join our team for our Chicago office.Responsibilities include screening new opportunities, promoting our solution, execution of agreed customer engagements and building strategic partnerships, for example with government transport agencies, automobile manufacturers and insurance companies. We are looking for somebody with a breadth and depth of capabilities related to all product and development functions within a new business, in addition to strong interpersonal skills, effective customer engagements, and a leadership/ownership mindset. Influence (good ideas, hard work and internal negotiation) rather than traditional hierarchical authority will make you successful in this complex global matrix organization. This is a demanding role in a high profile area of the business. However, it will also be an enormously rewarding one where you can expect to drive new business to HERE Automotive. Main duties? Overall responsibility of managing selected Business Development projects? Work on multiple projects, simultaneously with several ad-hoc activities ? Make frequent presentations and attend a variety of senior management meetings ? Build a network of external contacts supporting the Automotive strategy? 25% travel, some internationalQualificationsThe ideal candidate has solid experience with the automobile/insurance/telecom industry, has worked with government entities and is capable to build strategic relations and execute.? Degree (MSc/BSc), preferable in Economics, Engineering or equivalent, MBA is a plus? 4 – 8 years direct Business Development and/or Intelligent Transport Systems experience? Experience in Product Management with successful record of introducing new products? Experience in Project/Program Management with experience managing complex projects? Ability to work cross-functionally in a complex, matrix environment? Capable of working independently? Good presentation, management communication and relationship management skills?
